Privacy is important to Away We Go Tours Pty Ltd (Away We Go Tours)

This Privacy Policy applies to the collection, holding, use and disclosures of personal and sensitive information provided about individuals to Away We Go Tours through the use of the website, www.awgt.com.au (“the website”), and any services offered or provided by Away We Go Tours (“services”). In this Privacy Policy we also explain how you can contact us if you have a query about any personal or sensitive information that we may be holding about you.

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to:

  • clearly communicate the personal and sensitive information handling practices of Away We Go Tours;
  • enhance the transparency of Away We Go Tour’s information collection processes; and
  • to give individuals a better understanding of the sort of personal information that Away We Go Tours collects and handles.

In the course of regular business activity and in order to use the website and/or our services, Away We Go Tours will from time to time collect, require and otherwise deal with your personal and/or sensitive information.

If you do not want any of your personal and/or sensitive information collected, you can stop using the website and/or our services at any time (subject to applicable contracts), however we may not be able to provide our services to you.

Away We Go Tours collects personal and/or sensitive information from individuals in numerous ways, including when an individual:

  • contracts or corresponds with Away We Go Tours in person or via telephone, email, mail or directly through our website;
  • makes a purchase(s) from Away We Go Tours or enquires about travel arrangements with us;
  • makes payment of an invoice;

We note that in certain circumstances, if you do not consent to the use of your personal and/or sensitive information as outlined in this Privacy Policy or at the time of collection, you may not have access to our services and we might not be able to provide you with our services.

Sensitive Information

We will only collect your sensitive information with your consent and where information is reasonably necessary for one or more of our services.

We will only use and disclose your sensitive information for the primary purpose for which it was collected or a purpose that is directly related to this primary purpose and is reasonably expected. You consent to the use and disclosure on this basis. If for example we have collected information about any medical conditions you are suffering, then you consent to us disclosing this information to our service providers (for example ground operators) if they reasonably have a need to know such information in order to safely supply services for your benefit.

We will not otherwise collect, use or disclose sensitive information about you unless required to do so by law.

Any personal information collected by Away We Go Tours will be used for the purpose for which it was given to Away We Go Tours, for purposes which are directly related to those purposes, for purposes which you have otherwise consented to, or otherwise in accordance with the law or this Privacy Policy.

Correspondence may be recorded in order to provide service references, and to assist in our staff development.

  • third party travel service providers who assist in fulfilling the booking you have made or which has been made for your benefit;
  • third party sponsors or co-sponsors of promotions on our website. Only information collected during a promotion will be disclosed to these parties;
  • third parties when we contract out some of our functions and activities, such as call centre operators. In these circumstances, we prohibit third parties from using your personal information, except for the specific purpose for which we supply it.

Overseas Disclosure

We may disclose personal and/or sensitive information to overseas recipients in order to provide services. 

Generally, we will only disclose your personal information to these overseas recipients in connection with our services such as facilitation or fulfilment of your travel booking (or a booking made on your behalf) and/or to enable the performance of administrative and technical services by them on our behalf.

Storage of collected information

The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers) on our website, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). When credit card details are collected in any way, we simply pass them on in order to be processed as required. We never permanently store credit card details.

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it, to prevent misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Away We Go Tours may store personal information physically and/or electronically.

Payment Security

Away We Go Tours uses ANZ Worldline Payment solutions – Enterprise Business Centre as the payment gateway for processing card payments. Card transactions benefit from the security features of this payment gateway.

Access to and correction of collected information

If your personally identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may correct, update, delete or deactivate it be emailing us at admin@awgt.com.au

If Away We Go Tours  holds personal and/or sensitive information about you and you believe that any of the information we hold about you is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, please make a request to our office for correction.

If you purchase a product or service from us, we may request certain personally identifiable information from you. You may be required to provide contact information (such as name, email, and postal address) and financial information (such as credit card number and expiration date)

We use this information for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order we will use this information to contact you.

Communications

Away We Go Tours uses personally identifiable information for essential communications, such as emails, accounts information and critical service details. We may also use this information for other purposes, including some promotional emails. If at any time a customer wishes not to receive such correspondence, they can request to be removed from any mailing lists by emailing us at admin@awgt.com.au

You will be notified when your personal information is collected by any third party that is not our agent/provider, so you can make an informed choice as to whether or not to share your information with that party.

Away We Go Tours may at its discretion use other third parties to provide essential services on our site or for our business processes. We may share your details as necessary for the third party to provide that service.
