Kiama Blowhole: Kiama is famous for its natural blowhole, which spouts water high into the air when the waves are strong. It’s both educational and entertaining, as students can learn about the geology and natural processes that create this phenomenon.

HARS Aviation Museum Located at Shellharbour Regional Airport. The museum has a vast array of amazing aircraft, many of them restored by the all-volunteer group. There are many aircraft available to be viewed and the students can climb inside many of them. On site is a Boeing 747-438 jumbo aircraft.

A walk ideal for students takes about an hour to complete. Crossing a beautiful river through an amazing rainforest.

Science Space Wollongong: Formerly known as the Wollongong Science Centre, this interactive science museum provides hands-on exhibits and educational programs covering various scientific topics, making it an ideal destination for school excursions focused on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

The Wollongong Botanic Gardens offers a peaceful and educational environment for students to learn about plants, ecosystems, and conservation. There are various themed sections, including a native rainforest garden and a Japanese garden.The Illawarra region boasts some beautiful beaches like Wollongong City Beach and Shellharbour Beach. While not educational in the traditional sense, they provide opportunities for students to learn about coastal environments, oceanography, and water safety.
